About Airbrush Makeup

Airbrush makeup is applied using a specialized compressor and airbrush gun that sprays an ultra-fine mist of pigment onto the skin. Unlike traditional brush or sponge application, airbrush creates an exceptionally thin, even layer that looks natural in person and flawless in photographs. It's buildable, breathable, and designed for long-lasting wear.

Yes — airbrush foundation is widely preferred for weddings and photoshoots because it photographs beautifully without the cakey or heavy appearance that can sometimes occur with traditional application. It reflects light evenly and creates a smooth, skin-like finish that holds up in both natural and flash photography.

Not at all. One of the biggest advantages of airbrush makeup is how lightweight it feels. Because the product is applied in such a thin layer, most clients report that it feels like they're wearing almost nothing — while still achieving full coverage.

KarMarie uses professional-grade, water-activated airbrush foundations and setting products from trusted brands known for their longevity and skin-safe formulas. Products are selected based on each client's skin type and tone to ensure the best possible result.

Longevity & Wear

Properly applied airbrush makeup can last up to 16 hours or more. It is formulated to be transfer-resistant, sweat-resistant, and humidity-resistant — making it ideal for full wedding days that include outdoor ceremonies, dancing, and emotional moments.

Airbrush foundation is specifically formulated to be transfer-resistant once it sets. When applied and set correctly, it should not transfer onto your dress, veil, or partner's clothing. KarMarie uses setting sprays to lock the look in place.

Yes. Airbrush makeup is designed to withstand tears, sweat, and humidity. While no makeup is completely impervious to all conditions, airbrush application is significantly more resilient than traditional formulas. A touch-up kit is also available as an add-on for peace of mind.

Skin Types & Concerns

Absolutely. Airbrush makeup is an excellent choice for oily skin because the thin application layers allow the skin to breathe, reducing the likelihood of breakdown. KarMarie uses oil-control primers and setting products specifically chosen for oily skin types.

Yes. With the right preparation and product selection, airbrush makeup can look beautiful on dry and mature skin. KarMarie uses hydrating primers and formulas that minimize the appearance of fine lines and dry patches. Proper skincare prep before the appointment is also key.

Airbrush makeup provides excellent, buildable coverage for a wide range of skin concerns including acne, redness, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin tone. Because the coverage is buildable, KarMarie can customize the application to address specific areas while keeping the overall look natural.

Most airbrush formulas are non-comedogenic and free from common irritants. KarMarie selects products with sensitive skin in mind and can discuss your specific concerns during the inquiry process. If you have known allergies or skin conditions, please mention them when reaching out.

Booking & Policies

For weddings, it is strongly recommended to book as early as possible — ideally 6 to 12 months in advance for peak season dates (spring and fall). Popular dates fill quickly. For other events, 4 to 8 weeks notice is generally sufficient, though earlier is always better.
